As February draws to a close, the pace starts stepping up in many places on the island.
Spring is just around the corner, and the buzz of Summer preparation is most certainly in the air. Love is in the air too, as the enquiries for beach weddings come flooding in to Mood Beach. I am always more than happy to oblige and give information and advice. I love seeing people’s reaction to the place, it is always a “ wow “ moment.
Beach weddings are top of the list for many couples, and for wedding planners. Here on the island we have the added bonus of being a short haul flight from the UK with all the components of a wedding in Paradise, long haul style. To be part of the planning, organisation and delivery, of a couple’s dream wedding is very much a privilege, and a part of my job which I really love. Mood Beach as a stunningly beautiful venue, in a perfect location just lends itself to the dream.
Of course it is not only about weddings. We have a whole range of events and group functions, weekend activities, Saturday disco, and Sunday lunch with live music, so it is busy, sociable and very enjoyable. One of our big events this month of March, of course is St Patrick’s day, To commemorate the special day of our Irish residents, and their patrón, Mood Beach are hosting an evening of “ The luck of the Irish “ which we are looking forward to immensely. “ Paddy’s day” as the date is better known, falls on a Friday this year, so a great start to the weekend.
The team got our thinking caps on to make our “ Luck of the Irish “ evening something special for everyone. The ingredients for such a “ bash “ and to enable guests to have “ the Craic “, have to be good food, nice drinks, music, entertainment, ambience, environment and great friends to celebrate with. Check to all of that. Our emerald evening will start off with a suitable green welcome cocktail, and our Irish Chef Les, has come up with a scrumptious Irish menú for the occasion. March 17th is a must for your diaries.
Steamed mussels in a Guinness and dill cream sauce OR Hearty roast cream of winter vegetable soup
Traditional Irish lamb stew OR Whiskey and honey glazed pork roast with colcannon, caramelized apples and cider gravy
Baileys bread and butter pudding with chocolate ice cream
Of course the bar will be well stocked with Guinness and cider and all things Irish, not to mention a huge array of other favourites. Irish singer Glen King will be there with a range of Irish songs and we shall no doubt have a fiddler too. I am working of having the swimming pool green, which will be our nod to the River Liffey, even though we are not in Dublin we have to keep up with the Murphys so to speak. After dinner, each table will have a chance to “ spin the wheel “ this is a roulette wheel with some fabulous prizes and every spin is a win.
So it should be that the evening is successful in more ways than one. Our special menu is only 29€ and we expect the whole evening to be one of a song and dance, a bit of a shindig. To make your table reservation, call 971 676456 or mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
